Biography
Austin is a Trombone player and has been playing music for 11 years, 7 of those years on euphonium and the 4 most recent years on trombone. After high school he continued his interest in the marching arts by joining the Blue Knights drum and bugle corps and the Blue Devils drum and bugle corps where he traveled to 23 states performing for thousands of people across the country. Following his age-out he now coaches music and visual performance at Riverside Poly HS and Rubidoux HS.
Austin attends Riverside City College where he has played in the wind ensemble, concert band, jazz ensemble, symphony orchestra, and brass quintet. While playing in RCCs wind ensemble and jazz orchestra he has the opportunity to play with outstanding musicians such as Harvey Patel, John Daversa, Tom Hooten, and in the near future is planned to play with Eric Witacre, and Bill Reichenbach.
Austin’s dream is to land a position with one of the world’s amazing symphony orchestras, but more importantly his dream is to simply play beautiful music with amazing musicians.
