Biography

Colin Mueller started his journey in music in the 5th grade when he began playing clarinet. Once he got to the 7th grade, Colin switched to the euphonium, and has been playing it ever since. Colin graduated from California Baptist University in 2022 with a BA in Music Education, and is currently an elementary music teacher at Riverside Unified School District.

What inspired you to go into music?

Growing up I would always see my father and my uncle playing music together, and because of that I always wanted to learn to play an instrument like them. I realized I wanted to be a music educator my junior year of high school when I was an officer in the band, and I helped teach the new incoming freshmen. That was the year I realized that music was a big part of my life, and I wanted to share that joy with others.

What is an interesting fact about you?

I have performed at the Richard Nixon Memorial Library 3 times.

What activities do you enjoy in your spare time?

Watching movies, camping, board games, spending time with friends and family.

What are you most excited for about this 2024-2025 season?

Getting to be part of an ensemble again.
