Biography

Deane Meckler is currently a college student at Riverside City College, where he is studying Music. He began playing baritone when he was 11 years old. While at Rancho Verde High School, Deane played in the Wind Ensemble and the Marching Band. Their bands competed in big competitions including the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association and the Western Band Association.

While at RCC, Deane currently plays tuba in the RCC Concert Band under Professor James Rocillo and baritone for the RCC Marching Tigers. Deane currently studies under Fred Greene at RCC. Deane plans to further his career in music education at California State Fullerton after graduation.

What inspired you to go into music?

I was inspired to go into music by the community and family I saw it create. I want to be able to provide that to others, and inspire them to follow the musical path.

What is an interesting fact about you?

I play 3 different low brass instruments and I have also travelled the country a lot.

What activities do you enjoy in your spare time?

I like to hang out with friends and play video games.

What are you most excited for about this 2024-2025 season?

I'm most excited to see how this concert season turns out.
