Biography

Robert Ollech is a dedicated percussionist and a senior at California Baptist University, where he is pursuing a degree in Music Education. Known for his exceptional skill and passion for percussion, Robert has contributed to numerous university ensembles and performances. As he prepares for a career in music education, he is committed to sharing his love for music with future generations, blending his academic knowledge with practical experience to inspire and educate young musicians.

What inspired you to go into music?

I was inspired to go into music because of my love for musical art, passion for jazz and percussion, and belief in the benefits of music education.

What is an interesting fact about you?

I grew up on a 40-acre farm in Fresno California. We have commercially raised Almonds and Raisins my whole life.

What activities do you enjoy in your spare time?

I really enjoy participating in Jazz bands and small groups. I also enjoy exploring the solo capabilities of the vibraphone in a jazz context.

What are you most excited for about this 2024-2025 season?

I am excited to get to play new music with new musicians.
