Biography

Zachary Neuer is currently an undergrad student at Cal Poly Pomona under the studies of Elizabeth Low-Atwater. He began playing on the Clarinet in Elementary but switched to bassoon Junior year of highschool.

While at Riverside City College, he was an ensemble member with the Marching Tigers under Professor James Rocillo. In 2018, the ensemble marched in the prestigious Macy’s Day Parade. While at RCC, Zachary was in the symphony orchestra, wind ensemble, concert band and the jazz band. The RCC wind ensemble traveled to Hawaii in 2023. He also had the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas for the College Band Director’s National Association with California Poly Pomona. He also played in the the Game Music ensemble for UCLA.

He is currently pursuing a career in composition with the focus of film/game scoring while at California Poly Pomona.

What inspired you to go into music?

Music has always been in my life growing up so being able to share the experience with everyone is a great pleasure.

What is an interesting fact about you?

I do archery.

What activities do you enjoy in your spare time?

I like making music and playing FFXIV.

What are you most excited for about this 2024-2025 season?

I am excited about playing wonderful music with great peers.
